Hi all
Tomorrow will be my first day in my new job, junior graphic designer. As this is my very 1st graphics job have any of you NT peps got any tips or any thing that can help.

Keep to yourself, work your ass off, learn from your mistakes, get to know your keyboard shortcuts and be careful about what you say in your emails.

...learn about grids, kerning, leading, soft returns and try not to use helvetica on everything.

show enthusiasm for the job. ie, have energy. if you don't have that? be nice.

Decorate your desk w/a lot of serious-looking design books and magazines so that people will think you're dedicated to you're profession.
Bring a headphone and an mp3 player so that you don't have to pick up the phone like a receptionist.
Always bring a pen and notepad to a meeting, even if you're pretty sure you're not going to take any notes.

Yo I start my new job in two days. blessings to you. My suggestion is just draw heaps if you get spare time. It always helps the nervous juices.

Then again, its probably cool as long as you dont get way to distracted!

Just be willing to learn.
Everyone knows it takes time to get used to new things, so if you are eager and willing at all times to learn, you're going to get more respect.
Don't, whatever happens, be confident. The ones who are confident from day 1 are the ones that don't last.

Oh yeah, and don't be late.
Get in the area at least an hour early, in case of any delays, and have a coffee somewhere.First day late will never be forgotten. No excuse covers that.
