all these designers websites are so much less inspiring than the last few years...i guess its because they are trying to pay the bills. where can i find the personal websites that are more raw and entertaining?

early mornings and pom, my stomach thanks youwhen youre a web developer i agree that a site should be creative and have an unusual concept but when the main goal is to give an overview of your portfolio (which may contain creative site) then i would keep it clean and tidy too

anyways, there are still plenty of nouvelle vague sites out there. wouldn't say that not being nouvelle vague is a trend it's just more functional.
can i make an analogy? take the car industry, they wouldn't make random steering you know. designers had to learn that as well with this new medium. not that there's no experimenting anymore which there still is but a site has also a function. so random flight booking isn't something you'll find and a unfunctional portfolio has about the same effect. sort of. exceptions are there ofcourse :)
