Flash won't treat your values as type String unless you put quotes around them.
cam = ["a","b","c","d","e","f","g"];
trace (cam);

I've got an array like this:
cam = [a,b,c,d,e,f,g];
cam.toString();
gives me only the commas.cam[0] gives me nothing at all...
String(cam[0]); gives me nothing
but if the values in cam are numbers, it works.
why don't the letters show up?
