Quark. Getting worse and worse by each new version.

This is good guys do you have your reasons for Indesign over Quark?
- Peter0
Leanne, I tried to type a reason but misstyped the "." after "Quark" when it was suppose to be ",".
Like such: "Quark, getting..."
- slappy0
because its cheap, and so am i?

it's the little things that's annoying with quark for me, like how you work with objects, that you can't undo several times in quark (i don't have the latest version) and so on...

did slappy just slap himself a cheap comment?

after 3 years using Quark on and off in my old job, i now find InDesign a lot more user-friendly. if i went a while without using Quark it was always a struggle to get back into it. but i can slip in and out of InDesign nee probs. only complaint is that our in-house uni print service won't take InDesign files... numpties...

I just want to know the way forward is Indesign the way..... show me the way......

yep, Im giving myself the tough love...

indesign. no question.

InDesign! Quark's okay for some layout jobs, but I mostly use InDesign because of it's quick and painless integration with Photoshop and Illustrator. Just me talkin'!

using quark is like paying for a curb-job.

I used quark for 5 years and it was 5 friggin long years. I then went over to InDesign and feel a lot more happier. If Illustrator is good for you, you'll love InDesign. It's more stable, cheaper and user-friendly

Im lovin the response, I have been using Quark for 5 long years also, its ok for me but if there is something out there thats better and I am just being plain ignorant because I dont know how to use InDesign then ... put a cap in my ass!!!

Indesign - good integration with other products. But . . .
Quark - most printers seem to prefer QuarkXpress (still) over InDesign.
Talk to the printers you use first and if they support InDesign forget QuarkXpress. It's awful and the customer support is poor too.

I have used Quark in the past, but when I started to design my first book, Indesign worked much better for me.
I prefer Indesign big time
