I gave up a while ago and was so happy, now i smoke again and depressions set it, loss of appitite, sleepless nights, knots in stomach. I think i know what i have to do

2 packs a day? that's heavy shit my friend I give you an advice if you want to stop it
- reduce it NOW
- make it 1 pack a day for the next couple of mounths
- then go on and reduce it again
make it half pack
- Decide you wanna really to quit
- QuitI did it like that, I reduce from 1 pack a day to 5-7 cigarretes a day and 2 weeks ago I stoped
I hope you right Rabattski, 4 yrs would awsome!!

Hey, I dont get it why people go back!!
Why did u start smoking again?
- toe_knee0
drink + booze are too good together.

cutting down on smoking doesn't cut it for all people.
it especially enforces (have said this before in another smoking thread) the reward effect of smoking: you've done something good now you're allowed to smoke. which makes it mentally harder to quit. because you're programming your brain that way, basically saying there's something positive about smoking.
- toe_knee0
the best frame of mind to be in when off the smokes is to say "Isnt it great to not smoke"
Instead of "Its tuff giving up smokes"
- emecks0
go for a game of squash, you won't feel like smoking after that.

You should buy a flat cap and some breeches and start smoking a pipe instead. Much more healthier, whilst striding around your estate.

over a week for me..yet to kill anyone.

Well the true is it feels great not smoking. The cuting down did really worked with me, but yeah that depends on each person, I guess!
One of my inspirations was indeed the fact that I was participating in the Tabacco corparations huge profets....

toe_knee is right.
cutting down = Its tuff giving up smokes.
but depends on the person.
same with nicotine patches and related products. doesn't work for everyone. you're still are hooked on nicotine if you use those.
cold turkey = best way. but as toe_knee said you need to be in the best frame of mind to start. 100% motivated. 90% isn't enough.
you could move to berlin toe_knee, 40% smokes here, everywhere it's allowed, will jumpstart you in the right frame of mind in no time.
