I likde the film but Kubrick fans are used to characters rather than hollywood couples who are really married and very well known, it breaks your suspension of disbelief whitch kubrick was a master of.

(Mar 27 05, 19:52)Let me clarify...I watcched it 3 times and I think it is a beatiful film and a nice goodbye from Mr. Kubrick. I think the reason so many people pan it is simply because the 2 main characters were so prevelant in tabloid culture that it diminished the film for many in the audience.

i'll quantifu it by saying that even the hottest scenes were mild at best, and hardly the selling point for a movie.
if this is the film's only redeeming quality (which sadly it is), then the thing is hardly worth watching.

Yeah I liked the movie but I haven't seen it since it first came out. But I thought it was interesting study of desire and sex.
