EB Games and the Sony store are selling the PSP value pack for $360, wal-mart is selling it for $298
how do they do that? and i would feel like a chump if i didn't buy one at walmart

Nah. Not when I can go get it at the store here for $250 (US).
Actually if I do get the system I'm probably just going to wait til Gran Turismo comes out for it.

and another thing, in every store they have like 50 machines, the guy at the sony store said they opened at midnight the first day psp's went on sale and only 20 people showed up. they aren't selling very well here, or many other places it seems

And what about those movies? who will buy movies on UMD ? Come on, not me for sure. I prefer buying DVD's. Its a cool feature but dont count on me to buy a movie on UMD ...

you have the option of ripping your own dvds or any other video file and uploading them to your psp via usb cable.
you dont have to buy the umd movies.
