What's the word these days on this nifty little program? Safe to surf your favorite music and video choices with the occasional download or a one way ticket to being put under the RIAA microscope?

i've been using win mx. from what i've heard it's the 'safest' program for pc. not that many users though, so stuff seems to be a lot more sparse.

bittorrent is under the FBI watch already, no long ago FBI closed down a site and requested 1,000,000 user accounts info (ip etc) and some other sites are asking for help from their users to pay for laywer fees.

Yeah, I stick with Limewire.
It's pretty safe and faster than the other programs I've encountered.
Apparently the new version of Windows (coming out in a few years) will have a thingy to keep track of what you're downloading. I'm scared.

Aquisition runs on the same Gnutella server system as Limewire, but has a much nicer interface.
It gets my vote.
