yeah, terrible tragedy. it was plastered on all the local news channels here and in the paper last night.

See Bowling for Columbine.. it's not so much about gun control as it is our culture...
But that step would be useful, yes.
Aside from that, crimes in school HAVE been going down. The media just blows everything ridiculously out of proportion.
By the way, that info has been available since before that movie.
So sad though... Damned kids.

GovtGunCollector (with new & improved barney (simpsons) voice) - "Ok people, we need everyone's cooperation here. Bring your guns down to the local precinct and we'll give each of you a donut. That goes for all you gansters too!"
Ralphie - "I'm a giraffe!"
- brandelec0
it's not that bad janne
http://www.thesmokinggun.com/gra…and by 'not that bad' i mean the video and the quality of flash animation
- SteveJobs0

damn good flash anim... but thats not the case right now...
How come this kind of things almost only happen in US (and in Japan also)?
- scarabin0
let 'em kill each other
like we need that much aggro in our genes
- spiralstarez0
happens in the US
a) because you have lots of guns
b) anyone can get them fairly easily.

so if you take the guns out of the good guys hands (i.e. the other percentage of americans who haven't commited a crime) where does that leave you? cause only the bad guys have guns.
so you take away guns. would the kid have used a knife? ok. lets take away knives too.
what about crobars? those can kill? or an axe? those can kill to? what about bows and arrows? those are made to kill. so where does it end?
how do you end it?
the problem is with parents. how can you not know your kid is a little fucked in the head? jesus. my mother somehow knew i had a porno hidden in my room for christ's sake. how can a parent not know what their kid is doing online? or at columbine. how can parents not see that they have bombs being made in the garage?
i don't get it.
how would you even go about putting a gun control in effect? would the people who have them have to turn them in? would they get money for them? seems all the good citizens have permits for their guns. so they all turn their guns in but what about the guys who bought guns illegally? you no they aren't going to turn them in.
i'm not starting a fight. i'm just stating my opinion.
the end.

What I don't get is people later sterotype the person as ''wearing black'' who plays video games all day with no friends etc.
I mean if I actually did snap one day or just got bored which probably was the case for the kid, why go to a school, how uncool and unoriginal... shiit, and kill yourself? Damn, don't these fools know, if you going to do something stupid go out in style. DAMNIT!
I remember when I was younger and angry at my best friend, me and the other (best friend group of 3) would come up with good ideas, such as run over his face with a lawnmower. Now I had a fucked up mind alright, but I turn out fine, just don't piss me off.. hee hee

good points kOna.
altho i strongly feel it is the lethal combination of bad parental control and and the lack of gun control.
- spiralstarez0
kona or fake kona or whichever kona...
If you can show me someone who's executed a medium to large size school massacre with only a knife or a crowbar, then your point is good.

Clearly the problem extends beyond the presence and availability of guns. Getting rid of guns won't solve the problem.
But it may be a place to start.
- spiralstarez0
getting rid of guns doesn't solve the root of the problem, but it takes away the means of it being carried out, no?

Bullying and guns are both big problems. Obviously just banning guns isn't going to solve any big thing, but it does help.
The crime rate in Canada is low, but that could be the population (???)
- komodofrog0
cum rang, well k0na can quote me again, drunktank you look like a fag, so you must be one.
On the other hand, as patriotic as americans are, I wonder how there wasn't a teacher who atempted taking away his gun I mean I would. I'm a daydreamer and lazy towards any troublesome actions but that would have been a coo thing to do.
One more thing, if you were born and had to spend a couple of years of your splendit childhood with wicked sinister nightmares you wouldn't be that simpathetic to strangers anywho.
Picture a vinly marked into pieces and your face on each piece in horror spinning and twisting while your dreaming but it fells like your awake, and subconciously I could only wake up leeking in my bed. now fuck off. And I grew offer it on my own. so don't tell me how im selfish hardless or any other crap.
