i have AfterEffects 1.5 and my powerbook freezes while navigating the Nagaoka Institute of Design website, so ignore me.
is it really After Effects?
it is strange how all those animations always have empty gradient atmoshperic backgrounds and flipflopping buildings and flowers in the foreground.

The only thing REALLY lame about this is the fact that somebody wasted their time making a motion-graphics piece for a company that is not going to compensate them in anyway. Talk about brand loyalty!
But seriously, 99% of motion-graphics is nothing but pointless eye-candy.

you don't need a good portfolio to be a critic.
it's not about skills in motion as most of you motiongraphicskaterzkiddos think, it's about a solid, unique, surprising, well-communicating concept.this work lacks it imho.

The problem is the ad shows off technical ability, but is almost completely devoid of conceptual ability. Concept is king in advertising.
