derek, what do you mean GPS?

My PSP is set up so it can update it's software wirelessly through my Airport, it's pretty cool.
It can also double up as a network finder, you can just scan for wireless access points from the Network Settings and connect to them!
Just order yourselves one off eBay from Hong Kong, you can change the settings so all the displays are in English. The games and system are region free so you'll be able to play games from any country. The only difference is in the bowser where circle accepts instead of x.

no, but it is 802.11 wi-fi enabled, and has an infrastructure mode that allows you to play with people around the world with no cables or anything
5 games will launch with this feature, including twisted metal

Unfortunately at the moment there's no way to browse your memory card wirelessly. Hoping there'll be a third-party app for that soon.
You can use Kai and Amaryllis to play online over a wireless network though but it's kind of difficult to get it to work.

oh too bad..
thought it'd be awesome for navigating..
- 5timuli0
Kai and Amaryllis trick the PSP into thinking it's using Ad Hoc mode so you can play online with any game ;)

currently the only handheld that has a gps feature is the gizmondo, which is a piece of shit with shit games backed by microsoft
among its titles are such classics as "angel fish" and "momma, can i mow the lawn?"

oh well, i'll wait..
- scarabin0

There's already a site up, I think it's http://www.psp-vault.com, where users can upload and trade PSP save games. Very cool concept, should really take off. I want one of these bad boys somethin' fierce.
- Luke_Vormboat0
yeah, but with the GPS feature i mean.. maybe there's a way to hook up a gps system in a future version or something..

nobody's calling it an ipod killer, mg33. they're saying sales and popularity will be on par with the ipod.
why are you so threatened by the psp?

as much as i don't want to admit it, i want to get a psp now. i am a die hard nintendo fan but there are some things about the psp i would like. it sucks you have to by the value pack and can't just buy the thing individually, plus it is freakin expensive.
joe have you had any issues with yours? or is it just perfect so far?
