anyone have any recommendations for hotels in the toronto downtown area? nothing too expensive please. i'm hoping to get some leads based on people's experience. thanks

we stayed in the Days Inn in toronto 2 years ago - cheap damn nice

We usually stay in the Holiday Inn or Days Inn or whatever it's called. My family and I are actually staying at the Holiday Inn in Toronto this weekend.

i found Quality hotel on www.hotels.ca for 100 at night.
not looking for shopping, but i'd like to see the art scene, nightlife, toronto things, etc. i'm from montreal. :)

well i'm attending the FITC conference, and i saw this hotel was nearby the harbour, walking distance actually, as any montrealer would like, heh.

there is nothing around there. its dead at night.
even though its held there, you are better off staying off the harbour and highway.

i stayed in afew in the tdot
courtyard marriot on young street.
skydome marriot .
theres also hotels i think in the Eaton center which is pretty close to everthing.

new place on mercer... right south of king and peter... the name starts with a M ... did a shoot there a week ago... cost my client a pretty penny but I'd bet they'd have affordable rooms because there new and they need traffic...

yeah the courtyard marriot on young. i had a bargain since i booked ahead. really nice hotel. quite close to queenstreet. youngstr. is extremely long btw. during the whole stretch on young in my rental is was like wtf? wtf? wtf? omg! wtf!
