the mystery entry image could at least be centered
what are you going to do with the blog entries once they begin to add up its obvious this isnt dynamic
popups suck in general but for html content is even worse

Im studying communication design. web design is not taught in my major. This was my first post on this site, and I was a taken a bit back by the harshness.

I suggest you ask for a critique when your are actually ready for a critique.
Inside jokes and purposefully miss spelled words are unlikely to appeal to people who don't know you. Get rid of them. Get it polished and ready to show.
If you already know about the problems, why aren't they fixed yet?That said, I think the style looks a bit dated. the squares were a big thing about 6 years ago, which puts it right in line with the matrix and abstract geometry/ 45 degree angle styles that were hot during that period. In all honesty, i think you're doing yourself a disservice by referencing that period, as you've managed to replicate all the things that were awful about it. (mystery buttons, popups, etc.)

and at this point of your arsons, you should really think if CD is what you really wanna take. youre right they dont teach andthing digital, nor do they push their students to do so.
just in case you dont know, you have to complete a set number of CD classes in order to graduate, this doesnt include the compulsory classes like type and shit. so it leaves you to about 1 or 2 extra clases outside cd to take.
there are other nice curriculums like DT, which i belive is more hands on.

Yeah, I know, I have a prefrence twords print but I'm a little interesed in web. I chose cd because the focus is on thinking, not the tools as much. I think its a better place to start.

i hate when people say you shouldn't ask for feedback until the site is polished! its good to have feedback midway thru cos if someone says something that hits home you can then save a lot of time!
People here need to chill out sometimes and start being slightly more helpful...
