Cooking doesn't have to be expensive. You just need fresh ingredients. It really makes a different.
Simple bachelor carbonara
1. Boil spaghetti, keep it from going soft by boiling max 9 minutes. Drain the water from the pot.
2. Take one egg, mix with a dash of milk or cream and whip that around. Poor that into the pot of spaghetti and stir/mix.
Put the spaghetti on a plate or two.
3. Stir fry sliced bacon with black and white pepper. Sprinkle it over the spaghetti.
4. Crack another egg open, pour out the white, put the eggio on top of your creation.
5. Serve with a sallad of choice, a cheap bottle of red wine and a night in front of the tv watching sopranos.Capish?

Damn, I suddenly feel the need to get some cookbooks right away.
The problem is finding cookbooks where the ingredients aren't from some far off place and impossible to find unless you shop at boutique markets where the minimum is $5.99 a gram.

It fucking sucks. I work at a sit-at-a-computer job all day, and come home and so some more sit-at-the-computer work. It's funny how draining sitting on your ass all day in front of a computer all day can be. So, needless to say, I've got some weight to loose. But, I've began to conciously (sp?) cut back portions, which is a good step, and I've gotten a membership at the local "Y." But, shit, Domino's delivery sure is fucking convenient. =/
Ahhh, spring is almost here. I tell myself that I'll wake my ass up at 5:30 every morning, and bust my balls at the gym at least an hour a day, as many days a week as I can stand. But, telling myself I am going to do it and actually doing it are two completely different things.
I've got such a case of the BAAAAAADASS cabin-fever dumps. C'mon, Spring!!!
Sorry. I feel better now.

I used to hate cooking but now it's okay, I guess. Maybe I'm getting older.
My parents are always telling me that I should know how to cook because I'm a girl or some crap like that, so learned how to make lots of stuff at a young age.
I don't enjoy it all that much unless I'm doing it with someone else.

So funny I was also thinking about this recently & over the last 6 months I have been really into cooking. Just tonight i made a pretty good carbonara pasta sauce for me and my sis and all her friends.
U appreciate your food so much more if you have had a significant role in making it..
(sorry for the lengthy post..:)
