all depends on your budget. what are you looking to spend 'cause they go from 275 to 900
- ********0
most 19" can only go up to 1280 x 1024. only when you drop 6 or 7 bills can you go 1600 x 1200.

i just got the acer 19. it's fine. i just couldn't afford the extra money for the sony or the samsung : /
the acer was$300 of newegg.com
the LLG's look pretty nice. they run like $450

I can spend at last 400 euro.
Which technical characteristics i should looking for (Pixel Pitch; angle of view, etc etc)?

one of the most important (to me anyway) is the frame refresh rate.
right now i believe samsung has the best at 8...could be wrong though.
also i think viewing angles are alm ost all 140 or 170. i didn't really care about that since it's just me viewing sitting right in front of it : )

I bought the samsung:
17" 711T BK LCD
for $459CDN and it's been great so far. Even though it's 17 it still has 1280X1024 resolution and pivoting head so you can swivel to portrait
I'm sure they have something similar for 19" that doesn't cost much...

ok, samsung rock.

yeah samsungs are nice, until they break, then they come back from repairs worse than before, then they take 4 months and counting to replace it under warranty.... yep samsung are nice indeed :P

dell 1600x1200 19" crt .19 dot pitch. there is nothing on the market smoother than what i'm using now. i live this thing.

I have a Sony 19" and it has the usual 18ms refresh, others say they have quicker, but they lie unless they ask a lot of money or have bad viewing angles. Tom's Hardware says so too. The Samsung is as nice if not better and I hear the Dells are basically nice Samsungs anyways.
The DVI is the biggest contributor to crisp quality, but you need the adapter, but splurge and spend $99 to get one along with it.

if you dont get an apple, then you MUST get a samsung! the model that i recommend is:
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewPr…
this thing tilts, spins around 360 and does the impossible! and it doestn compromise on design appeals either. pleaaase go in store and check it :D you'll love it!

look at a consumer reviews! O.o; should be all 5 stars. Geeeeeeet it....
