My guess is that there won't be webdesign in its present state. Once highspeed access is readily available and affordable to anyone there will be a fusion of media . TV, DVD, WEB, etc... will all be one.

i'm going to stop being a dick for a moment...
years ago, microsoft had plans to make all their applications web based.
some people believe that we've hit a ceiling as far as brand new functionality goes.
personally, i don't know. with new technologies like VoIP, and the development of new ways to use old technology...i have no idea what the future holds. and i think that's what makes this world of our so intriguing.

Technological fusion.
Its already happening; for example bmw, ipods & satellite radios available in their new models...
I guess the technology will always be improving but the real change will come with imagination and implementation.

3d holographic images that are fully interactive..a full fusion of all media web, tv, etc...thats my thoughts

XML will more than likely be the basis of any future web advances. the reason being this:
in the near future, digital and analog are going to be combined and work congruently. it sounds nuts, but fiber optic infused digital "paper" is already being tested. so, when information needs to be disseminated quickly over a wide range of media (web, multimeda, pocket PC, cell phones, print) the only viable way to format and sort that information (as of now) is XML.

unification. we are already seeing it with video phones with mp3 players, cars with satilite radios, and VoIP.....flash and aftereffects will merge as broadband widens...all of which leads back to the reponse above which stated there will be more porn....
