The screens you posted thepulpbox are like pre-alpha... the alpha i tryed last looked better than that.
I'm too looking forward to se what they'll do with the interface. But for you worrying about the eye-candy slowing down the computer, I read they were releasing two versions, one called Glass with teh l33t animations/effects, and another without them.

hey can add as much eye candy as they want... it's still MS so the colors will always be bad, the organization will always be backwards, and of course the OS will be released with holes.
