rasko4 but don't u think thats any language? you had to learn the alphabet why just communicate in shapes when you can also communicate in color, language is code it requires people to learn it before they can speak read and write.

well mev
shapes and colors are different thats why we use icons and such for traffic signs etc
for your reading level pleasure:
- rasko40
it depends what your function is with this project, if it's to create some kind of 'encrypted' messaging between you and whoever then umm ok.
Why would anyone want to learn this? This isn't a language.
- mevsthem0
ok some people are color blind
but also there are blind people.
blind people have a different way of reading, people who cant hear can talk threw using there hands and motion. im not saying lets replace shapes to colors i said i made a 1px typeface thats readable atleast some of the characters and how it works. If you wanna only limit your thinking in ways people can communicate go ahead.
- mevsthem0
any alphabet is cryptic to anyone who dosn't know what the characters mean.

2px typeface
there is also 3px typeface why stop at 3x3 or 2x2.
- rasko40
but I can read that straight off, it does not require decoding. Why would I need to learn your code?
- mevsthem0
you can read russian? or polish etc? you can read what you learn to read. im not asking you to learn my code. the point of it was to make a pixel be abel to communicate a letter. You can make type different color look at this website its links are orange. And it communicates its a link.

This thread is great!
Basically what is being 'designed' is a row of 26 different coloured pixels.
Lets have some suggestions for which colours should be used for x and z.

...it is totally confusing to anyone who isn't you.

I remember reading an article, which I no longer can find, about specific colors being assosiated with diffrent letters. Say, the letter A gives the impression of being red, M - bluish grey, N - grey, P - yellow, W - dark brown, V - yellowish brown, U - light orange brown, E - green, etc

pinkand purple to make mev more cumfy

Btw, using this typeface text would need to be written on a background different from all the letters
- hot_fs010
It's not really much different to what Saville did with the Blue Monday cover.

You can use white as background and white also for space

-----------------------------Do you remember these letters and their equivalents? If you can remember where you read that article, it would be really helpful. Or anyone else maybe? Some info/theory about letters and equivalent colors.
