my new logo didn't go so well on the crit from yesturday... please help with this one... it's in beginning type out step but just the font choices for the logo? Yes or no. I am a print designer and I thought I was happy with the logo that I have now but I don't really like it myself now. any feedback would be helpful...
thanks

out of the choices presented, i feel 8 is the strongest.

whats wrong with the original?
i like it that way
- abizzyman0
none... don't like 'em...
... do something w/the etto - and make design secondary.
- lenusiya0
i guess nobody liked it when i posted it yesturday... i liked it too but people said it was hard to read and to loose my slogan underneath the logo

the leading and letter spacing needs to be addressed on all of the concepts you have.
not really feeling any of the type choices either.

Have you tried outlining the letters in Illustrator and having a play around with them, like messing up the tracking or tweaking points?

#2 is pretty nice. But i also really like #8

take saturday off.
approach this project again on monday.
don't you just hate designing your own logo? we tend to be our own worst critics.
have fun with it.
=)

i haven't really played with that but i just wanted to get some responce to typefaces first before I go inot too much detail like I did with the first and then didn't get good responce.
Any suggestions on typefaces, I like really clean and minimal typefaces....

can;t take saturday off, I have to do it today, I have to finish the site design and logo design by monday
so seems that #8 is a favorite so far.... keep em coming, I want to narrow down to atleast 2 or 3 typefraces and then start playing with them

with a name like etto, i'd hand draw it. there are some good relationships between the letterforms you could explore that you won't find by using a typeface.
drop out the tagline too, it doesn't need to be in the logo. and i'd put the "design" in a simple, understated face to contrast the expressive lettering you will no doubt be using.

if its design you'll need some smooth freehand drawn logo or object of some sort
to sell design with text seems shorthanded
- lenusiya0
ohh and by the way...
etto-
in russian mean this issince I am russian I wanted to use something from me in my design... just incase if you guys were wondering what it meant
- lenusiya0
OKAY... GUYS I'VE WORKED SOME MORE ON THE LOGOS AND HAVE SOME NEW IDEAS FOR YOU TO CRIT...

- lenusiya0
thanks
any others?
please I need your imput...
- DonnieTV0
I like 3 best, but it looks like atto.
- lenusiya0
is the e hard to read?
is that why you said it looks lioke atto? or is there a company's logo that it looks like?
explain..thanks
- DonnieTV0
The e looks like an 'a' because of the missing bit. You could maybe fill it in like the 'o', but it might be less interesting.
