Chic, your argument falls under it's own weight. It does not matter that species share similarities in genetic material. By your line of reasoning, I should assume that humans are no more superior to a hunted animal. When, does open season on human hunting begin, then? Absurd, right? See, even the naturalist would agree that the human species is, by nature, on an echelon that is superior to animals. My point is that if a human zygote is fully human - which physical science has confirmed, then it has every bit as much right to live as it's mother does. Bottom line - a fertilized egg is fully human. When life begins it is no longer a question for theological or philosophical dispute. It is an established scientific fact.
I believe in equal rights.

Shit discipler. Did you listen to what i said????????????????????????
"By your line of reasoning, I should assume that humans are no more superior to a hunted animal. When, does open season on human hunting begin, then? Absurd, right? See, even the naturalist would agree that the human species is, by nature, on an echelon that is superior to animals."
when the fuck did i say this??? I was revealing the hypocracy in ur argument. I told u, that based on "intelligence" (however subjective that is) humans are human. With cognition or some such, i define the people i love.
On that ground i have no emotion whatsover to a microscopic embryo.Fully human????
please listen to me mr man
these are JUST WORDS
fully human to u is a collection of genes (heheh, silly boy) genes which as i say, can easily be possessed by fruit flies and cacti
fully human to me is something about intelligence. capice?
now stop being retarded!!
it is purely philosophical dispute.
You are so blind it hurts. And u can't see ur own inconsistencites.
- ********0
i mean wtf - fully human
is that a scientific term?
did you get that from the Christian Science website
what's the latin term
"fullus, homos, erectus"
oooh kinky!
i advise u read some deconstructionist theory. Heres a good book to start with:

well... we would have to agree to disagree (big shocker there) because you've opted for a subjective interpretation of when life begins, despite what scientists have said is objective fact about when life begins...
• Dr. Micheline Matthew-Roth, a principal research associate at Harvard Medical School’s Department of Medicine, puts it, "It is scientifically correct to say that an individual human life begins at conception, when egg and sperm join to form the zygote, and this developing human always is a member of our species in all stages of its life."
• French geneticist Jerome L. LeJeune bore eloquent testimony to the truth of Dr. Matthew-Roth’s remarks when he gave the following testimony to a United States Senate sub-committee: "To accept the fact that after fertilization has taken place a new human has come into being is no longer a matter of taste or opinion. The human nature of the human being from conception to old age is not a metaphysical contention, it is plain experimental evidence."
• Perhaps Dr. Hymie Gordon, professor of medical genetics and a physician at the prestigious Mayo Clinic, best summarized the perspective of science when he said, "I think we can now also say that Theologians and philosophers may go on to debate the meaning of life or purpose of life, but it is an established fact that all life, including human life, begins at the moment of conception."

they tried to kill me in the other thread it worked until they raised me from the dead like Jesus

superior to animals?
Superior does not apply to any form of life. All life shares commonality and is equal.
- discipler0
danthon, is it ok then for us to cook up a human for dinner tonight?

discpler. Look mate, i'm perfectly happy to accept ur opinion that life begins at conception. I'm perfectly happy for ANYONE to think that. I don't, but i don't care if you do.
But the fact is that it IS subjective. That's the one thing that winds me up about u. Is the way u bring pseudo-science into it.
It is such a warped science with its own agenda. These deeper questions of life do not belong to science. That's the one thing i'm trying to get across to u. And i think the way u seem to look at relgion and science (and i do think religion has its place), is setting back the course of humanity.
Ur opinions are corruptive. And i'm going to have to kill you for the sake of the universe.
nothing personal

So is the Pop really dead or what?!?!?!?
=D

sorry discipler.
Now u're attacking science?
i'm confused.
but i've come to the conclusion that u are a nutter, best appreciated from distance..
- ********0
discpler. U're a broken record. I've already countered u're opinons.
So why u keep trying to quote me so-called experts? As though their opinions matter more than anyone elses? I already agreed with the facts - that yes the embryo has all the genes of humans, potentially, and no it doesn't countr for shit to me. There is nothing left to say on the issue. For every scientist who says life begins at conception, there's more who say that's not true. This is purely opinion, not objective fact. It CAN NOT be fact, for the reasons i painfully stated.
And i'm not interested in what "scientist" have to say, because as i said, it has nothing to do with them. It's like getting the Vatican to explain Quantum Mechanics. Not in their field of expertise. Capice?
Ok. Now i am definitly done with u and this thread
