you do notice the lack of community in the UK compared to Oz. When I lived over there you got much more of a sense that people made more effort for events or get togethers.
Or maybe that was because I was a stranger in a strange land making more of an effort to find these things. Would be interesting what an aussie over here thinks?

onedotzero's a cool event with cool shit from the motion design community. Resfest comes round our way too. And this last Raindance film festival had a couple of good nights.
All motion work tho.

there are loads of events that go on in the uk! waaaay more than in aus. that's the reason why there is such a community in aus, because there aren't that many events so people make an effort to go.
in london there's so much going on that you hardly end up going to anything because you think, "there will be something else on next month". i always go to the onedot festivals tho.

I hear what you are saying Vespa, smaller communities, lesser choice mean more people make an effort. the 'there is always something else going on ' attitude takes over in london.
We should try and co-ordinate more get togethers with onedotzero or Raindance.
What is that monthly music/motion event on at the NFT, I saw it posted here and have been meaning to check it out for ages?

Did the onedotzero thing on shrooms last year. Fuckin awesome. The only time i eva see that stuff is on my PC on some shit Quick Time movie or a DVD on my small TV. It's something else at the ICA on the big screen with crazy sounds and drug induced vibrancy. I tells ya, that wot barrys sez spot and that transformers dancing took a whole new meaning.
