My Powerbook just totally died on me this morning and I've spent the entire day doing CPR.
Could they just feckin release the G5 PB's with Tiger already, I'm sick of waiting, and I'm sick of these stupid 10.3-something updates that only gives me stupid trouble. And I'm sick of stupid Apple only putting effort into making as many stupid PC users buy stupid iPods, instead of spending time upgrading those stupid G4's into non-stupid G5's. Who cares about stupid PC users!

Um, this sort of got off on teh wrong foot. The point I tried to make was how badly I want the G5, not how sucky I think teh current one is. (even though my particular one is, but thats probably because all the times i dropped it or because its been run over)
I have the apple order page almost filled out in another window but I am hesitating. I will kick some major ass if there's a new one in like 2 months thats faster and prettier.

But unlike cox I don't think I'll buy a G5.

well, i dunno about you but my PB G4 works FINE, even with all the updates. Maybe you guys should format your drives and see if that does anything....

damn, iDp! I just read the entire thing. My problems don't even come close. So how come you still kept it through all these repairs? (we dont have that lemon law thingy over here, so there's a nasty fight involved if you wanna get a new one)

they have this rating system, so the more problems you have the points you get...I don't think they're supposed to tell you about the points, but a tech slipped up when I brought it in once.
I'll have had it a year on March 11th...I'm buying my applecare tomorrow...so those bastards are going to have to deal with this laptop for another two years. I think I'll really start screaming about it when the G5's come out...that way hopefully they'll just give me one of those.
