Looking at my portfolio site makes me want to puke. So I think its a good time to ask my fellow peeps at NT for some helpful yet tender critiques or commentary. Trash it if you like its cool too.
Let me know.

Looks good, but can you get rid of the scroll bars on 1024x768?

only rock in my shoe is the very uncorrect world map you have in the contact section.. there is so many free detailed maps floating around .. but everything else looks nice and clean.. including the work!

looks good a little big though runs smooth

I really liked it, ecept i get scrollbars at 1024. I'd make it fit 1024 at least.
- clone0
remove the right click functions so people cant zoom in

yeah, i like it too. But the scrollbars in 1024 also bug me a little, especially since I feel like your bottom horizontal band of gray is a little superfluous.
Also, it seems a little "shallow" visually. By that I mean everything looks like it's on one layer, with no aesthetic depth (except for the red scroll thumb).

slick site... but I'm not a fan of the typeface used throughout... a bit weak. and the logo reflection seems completely out of place at the beginning.
- Dr_Jay0
The typeface I'm referring to is the type used for the logo... that is also used for heads...
I'm willing to forgive the use in the logo, but the use of the same type for the heads (that has no relation to the other type used) is a bit of an issue, i'd say.

haha I hated it till I entered your portfolio section...might I suggest you go straight into that from the get go. It seems really spacious and unrefined until its populated. I like it once you get into the site.

i think you should get rid of the cheesy flash intro. just start with the work section. Your work is really good.

Thanks guys. I agree with about everything but I really wanted to get something up live for critique. All valid commentary. Much appreciated.

The flash animation works for me. My opinion is to keep it.

I like your work its great. I think the site works well in showing it off although I do agree that the scroll bar threw me off at first; I wanted to use the Browsers until I figured out you had one internally.
My opinion is lose the intro. Nice but uneccessary.

There are people on this planet that don't have 1600x1200 resolution and a 3ghz-machine (yeah, i can see two frames per second). nobody needs silly halfscreen flash-intros. i would punch the art direc for this.

If you're going to critique, then at least offer some suggestions.
I actually like the logo type treatment you used, but to reiterate the other dude/dudette, it's generally a good rule of thumb that the type treatment used for your logo should be exclusive. You should not be using that same font for section titles.
When you click the WORK section I notice that the portfolio buttons are at a different kerning setting than the description titles below the 606 Properties header.
Your work is pretty good, but that preloader is a fake. It should represent the actual data currently loading.
I would probably punch up the color of greyscale used throughout the site, it might seem fine on some monitors but on other monitors some assets might blend into the white making them invisible.
Lastly, Liam - what's wrong with you? Is "I would punch the art direct for this" neccessary?

No worries. I have no intention of being seen by people with Pentium -.5 machines on a 12 inch monitor. In Berlin.
Seriously though, the high res is intentional. Belive it or not so is the header treatment. But I might change, just thought I could bend a rule but I got called out a few times so, might have been a bad roll of the dice.
As for the preloader it will eventually be like the one on the root, with a meter and percentage and all. Thanks

i was expecting something really ugly when i wrote your post, but then i checked it and was..hmmm.. not bad at all..
have to agree about the headers tho, and the intro animation is a wee bit too big and heavy for my machine..
just get to the content right away, it's good enough to be shown immediatly.

I know a lot of my old bosses who would see that Intro and say "sexy", "I love love love it." A lot of the shit we do is chessy but It helps pay the bills. So I say keep it for the big bosses who are easily fooled when the art di shows your work to his boss.
- bk_shankz0
If it wasn't clear. I like the Intro. Is good to sell yourself.
