i don't know... there's something about black and white... i would try to work on the type more, and refine the leaves. i think black and white lends itself to a composition dominated by type.
the window is sitting a little low on the screen too, it looks unbalanced, and that white keyline to the lower right needs to be addressed. it just seems to confined.
is this going into flash?

What is the band all about? Like what type of music and what is their image? The layout is pretty clean so that's cool, but I can't really gauge it too well since there is no content to mix it up with. If it's a rock band, I might get more aggressive with the layout. maybe more black or conglmerated areas of the leaves. Move a little bit away from the uber clean nav type and go with something bolder or more non-symetrical.

but, i agree with iDp. you can do better man. a band's website needs a punch and this felt like i was going to a clothing store based out of paris.
but what do i know. really. you know what the band wants so incorporate it accordingly.

thanks guys, the band is kind of rock. lots of guitar and kind of jazzy sometimes.
i did notice that line on the leaf...i do it is kind of bland. but i also like how bold it looks, the black against the white and the negative space.
it's not going into flash.

i think a chunky serif would look good. the ascenders on the face you have now are too thin with the big silohuets.

i like the black/white concept. i agree with johndiggity's font comment. i bet that would really compliment the layout.

yeah, i thought i had emailed you about them, but i guess not. i found a few in there that were good, which i might still use. the one on the site i traced.
i fixed the line on the leaf...youre right about the font, it needs to be stockier than didot. probably add some band photos in with the leaves too.
