Anyone from St. Louis? A friend of mine is doing a photo book of street musicians (publishing in 2006) from all over the world and he will be in St. Louis in April and doesnt know the city and is trying to research where one may find street musicians in the city. Sorry for the run-on sentences. Thanks.

I'm sorry I can't help you with that, but while he's there tell him to check out the Pulitzer Foundation for the Arts designed by Tadeo Ando- a sublime experience

I'm in the area but don't know where to find street musicians. I saw a big group of them after a Rams game about a month ago. Mardi Gras is this weekend. I'll let you know if I find out anything.

once it gets warm, laclede's landing is usually hopping with preformers.
the jazz festival is down there.
delmar, aka the loop, is another good spot for public nightlife.
:)
and, if he gets bored, he can mozy the 2 hours over here to columbia and i'll take him around downtown...i work for a radio station market, so i know some ins and outs.

I live in St. Louis. Tell him to check out the Delmar Loop, the Central West End, Laclede's Landing, Soulard, Union Station, and South Grand.
All should be good places to find random musicians of different types in spring and summer.
I'm no expert on this subject but tell your friend to contact me if he wants.
