What Scanner?

I'm after a slim, fast & relatively hi-res scanner, for general, non-specialist use. I like the look of the Canon Lide 80 (http://tinyurl.com/4pdhu), but that's just because I respect Canon.
Anyone got any recommendations?
Price isn't strictly an issue, but between £100-£200 seems appropriate...
I thank you!

Bugger. So I shouldn't just go with aesthetics, then? :)
What scanner do you use? I'm currently lumbered with some deadly-slow Epson thing, loaded with idiot-proof options I don't want.
I just need something to plug in to PShop.

I dont know about the Lide 80, but I bought the Lide 35.. Its the most shitty scanner ever. I got it to scan some basic black and white documents and it couldnt even do that right. So much so, that I thought I got a defective one. Exchanged it for the same model at the store and got the same problem again. Even as a sub 100$ scanner, it's not even worth it. The scan quality compares to an old fax machine.

Hmm.. the Lide range don't seem highly rated in the reviews I've seen today, which is a shame..
..anyone else happy to recommend the model they use?

so like, does *everybody* have the lide 35 here?
Yeah, I've got one. It's slow, noisy and comes with a nasty lil app if you're on PC. But it does the job, and hey, I got it on sale for like 40 Eur.

the lide 35 is perfect for the shit i do, and it was like 70 bucks...
