I dont know about the Lide 80, but I bought the Lide 35.. Its the most shitty scanner ever. I got it to scan some basic black and white documents and it couldnt even do that right. So much so, that I thought I got a defective one. Exchanged it for the same model at the store and got the same problem again. Even as a sub 100$ scanner, it's not even worth it. The scan quality compares to an old fax machine.
