i know leah! 768mb is the plan
it just a second computer for working on the road and it's not that much anymore, so i can't really make myself pay the extra $$ for the powerbook because it's cooler and a little faster.. i will not see the speed difference with the stuff i do on it anyway...

you dont want to rush things like a G5 powerbook. then all we'll see on here is.... why did my powerbook melt.
be patient, all things come to those who wait.
the new powerbooks are brilliant and a great buy. still can't believe the 17" or 15" can power the 30" Display......crazy.
tara, the new powerbooks can run Motion, just need to up the RAM a bit. the 12 may be sketchy but the 15 or 17 would be fine. although you may be spoiled since you're already on a Dual G5.

OMG...scroll mate is similar to what pc notebooks have had for yrs already. Its like when apple ever comes out with a two button mouse, everyone will act like its revolutionary. All I can say is FINALLY, macs offer scrolling on the touchpad yrs after pc's already have had it.

btw, if its only a software update to make this work, it should be available as a free sw upgrade for current users. I just got my pb 3 weeks ago!

i thought something was really familiar on the displays of the updated powerbooks. then i realized that i live 5 min away.

eh... I gotta admit that the 17" powerbooks are still pretty hot.
... this coming from a PC user too. :) I will not 'switch'... but I don't mind swinging.
