cola, i don't think anyone is upset over the elections. no one can deny that at this point elections are the way to go. "at this point" being the operative words. most of the anger expressed in this threads stems from people disagreeing on why the army went in there to begin with. i am sure you already know but all this has to do more than just this election.
optimism is the need of the hour and i hope that iraq is able to achieve the much needed peace. but making claims like the U.S. did all this to liberate iraq is utter bollocks. and when people like virtu make those claims, it seems quite ridiculous.
i just hope that there was a way to have these discussions without getting personal.
