Why is it that so many photography sites are so convoluted?! I have spent the last hour researching examples and find that most a) make me click "enter" to enter the site, b) even then I often have to continue clicking or wait til fancy flash non-photo elements load, and c) if I manage to get to imagery its too damn small!
JUST SHOW ME THE FLIPPING PHOTOS FOR CRYIN OUT LOUD!!
//end rant. :)

agreed. the one thing that I dont understand about photography sites, or just artist sites in general is why the designers dont just let the work speak for itself. bells and whistles just distract the viewer from the single purpose of the site.. displaying work.

My personal faves are all nice and simple, allowing the work to speak for itself.

aye, love carty's new site. ericembry is good too.
tried to keep things simple and to the point with some new photos - but is hard to keep the site not looking like a blog of some sort.
