...just finished a vast update to one of my clients sites - they are a broadcast edit facility in NYC - because most of THEIR clients are 50-somethings with little to no computer savvy skills, I was forced to keep it very clean and very simple. anyone have any comments?

why not stick to clean and solid html then if that is your target audience?

the head of the company is about 35, and very computer literate; he seems a flashy kinda guy and wanted to reflect the work with lots of bells and whistles - we are eventually going to create an html site as well, but I think he still has to come up with the $$ first :)

don't thinki it is particularly clean

I'm sorry but that is probably the worst website I have seen in a long time. It is neither clean, nor simple. Far from both in fact. There is also a big difference between "computer literate" and design literate (i.e most programmers suck at design, etc). Seriously, man, the site is horrible.
