Gotta a pitch to work on tomorrow so I am gonna research that today and do some scribbles.
Will let your comments soak in for a day or two then go back to it when i have the time.

Like the concept mr.Dee. That "dot" on the "i" jumps out a mile thouh. I kinda agree with the font but it's not too far away. IMO the colour is off a bit bland.

I like the idea, and I'm surprised know one has done it before. Don't like the font or the animation.
Keep it simple and iconic, and don't have the animation, it doesn't add anything to your idea. looks a bit tacky to be honest

Aaaaah Mr Dance - how r u?
U know me, i like Helv thin, classic proportions. Colour wise i wanted the spring element to have a slightly metallic tone to it but not photo realistic so it is still definitely a graphic. Then when i tried to contrast those tones (initially with black) it didnt read as spring.Will experiment though. As for the 'I' - it is also needed in order to read well but will have a play.

Losing the anim seems to be a consistent thought. I definitely think the timing is too regular which isnt helping. If i keep the animation at all, I will make it alot more subtle which will help reduce its 'tackiness' ;)

Appears a bit cliché imo. Seems like you came up with the idea first and then the name. Looks nice though, and yes, skip the gradient and the animation, we get the idea anyway.

shotoshi is right you don't need to push the idea for the sake of it. Not sure you ant to loose the gradient all together though, if you do it may start to look like a script font.
