Pricerunner's best price on the Philips Player (Key005) is £88.26!

I preordered an iPod Shuffle too Jox. 15 days too go.
And yes I ordered it because it's nice and small and works perfectly together with iTunes which the other players on the market simply don't. What good is an extra GB if you have to move every fucking file from the explorer onto the player or worse, have to use some of those annoying programms that starts fucking with your mp3 collection.
...and I'll replace those white earphones

what good is an extra Gb? is that seriously a question? sounds more like some cognitive dissonance you're dealing with r_gaberz.
anyways. can't be bothered with this thread anymore. i'm just pointing alternatives out and having an opinion. anyways if you think all other products suck, that's fine by me, i just wonder how the hell do you know that all those other products never sync or always have these annoying software that fucks up your mp3 collection (new to me, never heard of that btw.). anyways, do what you think is best.
runs out of thread asap.

By the cheaper one bro and attempt to plug it in- hit one button and have a specialize playlist or a random set of tunes fill it instantly.
Most likely you will buy a cheap one, load in drivers and some hack software, set up preferences, select folders, transfer to hack audio app, then upload. But hey what the hell you will save 10.00 and be the Apple hater you always wanted to be.

we "assume" because the Shuffle was made to work seemlessly with itunes- just like most Apple apps and products-
the cheaper models are made- just to sell- even if the Audio app they provide is dandy- it will have the support and user base of maybe a few thousands (if that) where itunes has the support of a few million.
The ipod shuffle is priced like most USB sticks on the market- sure you can find a cheaper one here and there- but you will not get the support and seemless of this one. If you rather believe you can- then go ahead.

this is getting way too funny. fyi i am an apple user. for a really really really long time now. so how do you know puter? where is "most likely" based on? i've attached so many mp3 usb sticks to my mac. zero of them installed software or set any prefs, zero of them corrupted anything. it's just a fucking drive you know. you can sync that drive like anyother drive.

iiiiii
I just lost my discman while I was drunk and since I use Itunes I just got a 512 MB shuffle so I take playlist with me... I won't even use those 512 MB. I always used to burn a cd (RW) before leaving home.
What's the big deal?

man are we still on this?
If you drop a folder of 1,000 songs on a regular ipod what happens? Nothing. They are just stored there. If you want to PLAY those songs you need to go through itunes,,, The Audio App...
Same thing with any USB drive... dragging a folder of tunes will do nothing but copy them. Most alternative Flash drives out there already have either another app or support from an existing one to copy the songs for playing. Even the ones itunes support do not offer a playlist or one button upload feature.

that's the whole point. there is no deal. other people make a big deal about it because i criticized an apple product.

here is a list of a few Flash players on the market.
http://reviews.cnet.com/Music/45…
look at the prices of most. Go to the websites of the ones you are interested in and look at how they sync with your music.
Look at the 1/2 inch screens and tell me you would be reading them on your exercise bike.

yeah puter you're absolutely right.
