My 1st why is...
Why do people, when they get on an elevator and the button for the floor they want to go to is already lit up do they continue to hit the button again? I notice it happens a lot... but why? As if they would not get to that floor uless they touched the magic floor number button too?

So we've got a sh*tload of tunnels in these parts. Why do people drive so damn slow through them. It's the same amount of driving space.

I'll agree with the "make the doors close" reason. I do the same.
Some people are impatient bastards with control issues and have to do something so that they feel they have control of thier destiny, so they press a button.
