we can have song downloads on the site if you want. i think the basic idea here is to have one place to play all the shit that gets posted here every friday.
I mean the FMT thread is the watering hole, the FMT player is the jukebox.
And just to keep the lawyers off our asses, we keep it unfriendly and obscure unless you have a login. Then you have a goldmine of searchable history of all the songs posted in the FMT that still reside on your servers.

I'm down with that too, and yes we like each other, but are terribly cynical.
So, let's say we go with a certain design, approved by a number of people. Then we use the content from the previous FMT, keeping it non-downloadable, and also make it username/password enabled. We can always shake the lawyers by saying, this is a private area and we as a group bought these albums. We're the FMT club or some mumbo-jumbo. :)
