I have a friend that has made the habit of leaving his house in the morning with 4 pennies. You'll most likely not need more than that on the average day. It's a smart way to get rid of those little bastards.

Call me crazy, but I frequently throw mine away at the end of the day.
I know what they say..."penny a day keeps the bastards away," but I just don't have the patience to see it through.
Now, the non-copper coinage, I keep that stuff.

While i'm not hurting, I always tell myself that i'm not so well off that I can throw a single cent away.
You could also go to a CoinStar machine to change them in. If you were going to throw it away anyway, then the service charge shouldn't be a problem. Or make a habit of dumping them all into the cans your local food bank has at grocery stores. Give it to someone who would be happy to take it.

i usually walk around with a roll of pennies stuffed in my underwear.

anyone see that upright citizen's brigade episode where the guy explained to his friend that he'd been sticking pennies in his ass everyday then sending them into circulation. he felt it gave him the upper hand in certain stressfull situations - knowing that the pennies the other people had, at one time or another, had probably been in his ass.

my grandma once taught me that if i hold a roll of pennies in my fist, it acts like makeshift brass knuckles. My grandma is SO COOL. :)

I'm still not quite sure who's taking pennies where? Are you eating four and then pooping them out so that your "little friend" "leaves the house" with them?
