how do you get rid of duplicate tracks on itunes osx?

that's what i was afraid of. I have about 700 duplicates.

itunes can be controlled by Applescript (assuming your on a mac) and there are TONS of available scripts on the web (Google it) one of which does exactly what you are looking for.

the latest version of itunes released this week allows you to view duplicates and then delete whichever you don't want.
i don't think that was a feature in earlier versions

not only in OSX dude, on XP as well. It pisses me off it doesn't tell you to replace or not.
