it's really nice in the cold minneapolis winters : )
haven't read any other posts, but...
my only gripe is: some movies take a while to get (mostly new, soon to be, cult classic stuff) if that makes sense. it seems they misjudge the demand on some of their movies and you get put on a waiting list.
overall, it's well worth it.

blockbuster is owned by a bunch a mormons that either edit or don't allow videos in the stores....
in case you didn't already know : )

netflix is awesome, it has a friends feature where you can see what your friends have seen and what they thought of it. the site's been running really slow lately though

lvl_13 i'm mormon and i've never heard that...in utah there were tiny stores that had 'edited' versions of movies, but blockbuster is blockbuster i believe...
p.s. netflix is so cool, so are mormons.

(Janyou may be right j_red. it's only what i have heard.

Blockbuster is owned by viacom, but they do edit movies, which totally blows.
Hey what's the name of the angel on top of the tabernacle?
I belong to Greencine.com, which has a "artier" selection + independently owned, but takes 4 days to get movies and is a bit pricier. I'll probably switch to netflix soon.

So tivo is going to have 25,000+ titles, on demand, when you want, like Netflix?
Details please, because I doubt that.

I netflix, and i'm so happy they added the friends list thing, so i can see what shitty taste all my friends have in movies.

blockbuster has 2 services...
the first one is online rental where you pay $14.95 for unlimited and you can have 2 out at a time.
the other one is $24.95 (will probably be reduced) and you pick up the movies in their store, and have 2 out at a time.
i'm thinking of signing up for the $24.95 one since i'm spontaneous and when i want to watch a movie, i want it now.
