i've had a few issues, but crashing is not one.
the main issue is that the hold button doesn't always work, so the ipod will start playing in my bag, and then be drained when i want to use it.
the other issue is that the ipod will be playing but the display shows it's paused. then, a few songs later, it realizes it's supposed to be paused and stops.
annoying but i still much prefer my ipod to carrying around hundreds of cds.

in my country, weve had a saying. you only make love to white rectangles at half moon. also, you listen to quality of musics not quantity. otherwise, you have darth vaders breathing on yoor neq.

what a load of balls! The only times that my Mac has crashed in the past 6 years is when I use Microsoft shit: IE, Entourage (what a load of old cunt), XL and Word. Domino effect: when one of the cunts crash the other cunts crash one by one.
But leaves PS and AI still standing!
Moral: Microsoft products, for the Mac at least, crash like cunts!

This is such a thinly veiled Apple bashing thread. Good going .... would you like to talk about your emotional problems next?

I should add that I will be getting a Mac mini and intend on not putting any MS products on it.

OMG. i had no idea you folks are so sensitive.
I said what i remember about using MACS IN 1996 is that they crash.
My apple ipod does not work propperly. it was a gift that i was looking forward to getting and i am dissapointed.
i am not insulting your way of life!

hahahaha.
this is too funny

mogwai, no offence taken but I we're no longer in 1996 when you last used a Mac.
Maybe you got a faulty iPod or lead a strenuous lifestyle that does not lend itself kindly to the small and feather-lite piece of kit, the ipod.
I'm looking forward to getting myself a kerfuffle version

after doing some research, apple's site says this.
Jog without fear — 25 minutes of skip protection
which makes sense, as its about 25-30 minutes into my run that it crashes.
and reading further... "the TOS 1.8" drive is fragile, and not to be jostled sharply"
so i guess i will return it and find some flash based device i can run with.
their marketing is just misleading.

Haven't had my mac or my ipod crash in over 3 years.
Sorry bout your luck.

got my iPod in september - december was my first HD lockup while snowboarding. Thought it might have been cold related - but happens every now and then. Holding down the select and menu btns will reboot, which is helpful, but having to do this once every week is a hassle. Oh well. I love it no matter what!

why does the iPod not crash into iRaq, like everything else?
- shotoshi0
mog, i think you're fulla shite (no offence cuz I hate to talk bad about people). You're a self-confessed (read btween the lines) Apple hater and just out to cause trouble.
Your iPod prolly crashed once but you're blowing it up.
If it's that much of a big deal throw the cunting thing away and buy a PC oriented piece of shit (i mean kit, rhymes with shit though!)
