ok big problem, here is the situation, i have a file open on a remote computer at work, the remote computer has 2 monitors, i'm connected with gotomypc and i need to change my setting to the monitors but it's stuck in the other window, and i'm stuck on the window without a start menu.
would appreciate some help...from a nerd to a nerd...

it is the same as START

i've already got the display up, i'm looking to change the active monitor back to where everything is.
i have the file, and the display in the other window.

weird.
just as a warning * i have never been in this situ...but...
can't you just use key cmnd or perhaps command prompt? pain in the ass but still...

yes very weird, the thing is, that i'm getting what i need, not where i need it, there has to be a way to switch the primary window back so i can see it, without actually seeing the primary window to do it.

the same thing used to happen to me when i used to use my laptop at home, when i got my laptop home i would always forget to switch it back from dual monitors. anyway, the only way i ever found of doing it was very painful indeed.
click Windows + D to clear all you programs out of the way. on the desktop you left click then go to Properties, this will bring up a menu from where you will be able to change the screen settings. then you keep clicking into space where you think the top of the menu is and drag it to where you can see it. this never took longer than about half an hour.
the feeling of seeing that menu come back over is quite an exhilarating i can tell you.

in the window control thing try to select RESTORE then MOVE the window to view. there's a shortcur to get there but i don't remember it now, sorry
- winter0
you can get there by right-clicking it on the taskbar. the move option will be available if you select restore first.
- Witt0
if this doesn't work create a new toolbar on the taskbar and select control panel>>>etc from "my computer"
- winter0
ahah! dude just create a new folder and get your stuff thru the selector in the adress window...
