ok, I'm sure being 'Royal' has nothing to do with intelligence, but that's just plain ignorant and ridiculous. Just go and ask the old folk that lived through the Blitzkriegs on the UK.

Entirely depends upon where you are looking from.
If you are Afghan and have lost your legs due to US military action then a marine's uniform would be highly offensive to you .
If on the other hand you are 3rd in line to the British throne then it's probably not a good idea to dress as a nazi when it will offend a large number of the population your family reigns over.

i agree with the point that no one would complain if he wore a soldiers outfit.
we were debating this at work and id said something similar - if he'd dressed up as Ghengis Khan (spelling??) then no one wouldve batted an eyelid. dont quote me on this but i think he killed more than hitler.
mind you, wearing the nazi uniform, he just couldve pretended to be one of the baddies from an indiana jones film ;)
