yeah those smart cats can soder wires better than me, can flash drives with DOS commands, and can prompt the system to hard reboot after a crash... smart fuckers..
I can them do all those same things with four mouse clicks.

i am still on puter's side.
i have my share of curiosity, but not in having to deal with dll's, system errors, blahblah reboot windows disketter, blahblah bluescreen, blahblah..in my life i was forced to work only half a year with windows and i am glad i am back on the Mac.
my curiosity goes out to life and graphic design and architecture etc. Not building computers or finding out how they work.
they just need to do the job.

i doubt it_
since I had one for some years_
_but
really sad this deification of a brand.
shit__ it's not even a rock band.
use the tool. don't become one.

the difference is.. i am a geek, not a nerd.
i want plain and simple. that's what mac is bringing me.
everytime a neighbour/friend/relative calls (for the umptieth time) they are having weird issues with their PC i have to tell them i don't know shit about windows and don't want to know either.
all i hear is complaints about how complicated it is for them to get things right whenever shit hits the fan. That and endless whining about spyware, commercial popups (even in the system?), viruses, defragmentation sessions, reboot issues, boot diskettes etc. etc.
gives me a headache.
been working with macs since i was a kid.
my father still works with it fairly easily and he cannot even adjust his own digital watch!

what does your Bill Gates lookalike uncle say to the fact that you only use Macintosh?
- janne0
???

hmm... you made some wedding anniversary invitations once, and i still think up to this day, that you used a picture of Bill gates instead of your uncle on it...
or was it just me being drunk that night and made it all up in my small head

iam a pro-mac and pro-pc, i have both of them. i like both of them.
but seriously when you know your pc well you dont have any problems. And stop talking about blue-screens... i have'nt seen a blue-screen since 1999, come on!
i notice many people say stuff about pc and haved never or almost not worked with it. same for mac.
so, stop, those discussion are useless.

haha, oh that. nah he doesn't look like him at all.

the curious kids use linux, which is what osx is based off of. The people at apple just happen to be kind enough to make linux real easy, they also make their hardware very pretty.

I built my own PC. It was fun, It felt like I was Anakin building C3PO. After years of using PC's I know the hardware well enough to build a PC from what I find around my room. I recently made a PII333 computer for my mom this way. Still, I think computers are in a very early developement stage. They have ridiculously long startup times and are big and noisy. Would you buy a tv that takes 30 sec to start and has noisy fans inside? No way!
The mini is a step into the future, towards the computer that's as easy to operate as a microwave oven. I sure will get one, at least for browser compatibility testing.
