I cannot believe this. I ordered £40 pounds worth of DVD's for Christmas presents from this company. http://www.filmnight.com I get no DVDs.
I get a phone call today saying, that my dvd's have been sent out but not with my full address on and that it is my fault if they do not turn-up.
I then ask where the hell did he send them too, and he says this. "115, Rochester" No street address now post code, and no county.
He then goes on and says that my Invoice address wast not the same as my delivery address and that is why its was my Fault.
I now that is bullshit. The billing address and my invoice address are the same and there is now way I would have but something different.
The problem is I cannot prove anything. Do you nice NT People have any advise as to what I could say to this company to get them to give me my money back.

is there a better business bureau in the UK?
- waynepixel0
probably. But advise is what I am after.

phone them up again and ask to speak to the most senior person available.
Tell him/her firmly that you didnot pay for this level of service and that should they not honour your order and stop trying to infer blame upon your-good-innocent-self then you shall give them £400 worth of bad press. Remind them that bad news and press travels 10 times faster than good. You'll either get your money back or your order delivered. Works with UK companies anyway...

Just phoned him again and he keeps given me the same old bullshit. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I give-up. £40 lost. Great.

Can you not pin the blame on their site; poor coding etc.
Surely there should be some form validation - checking that the right number of fields have been filled in etc.

The owner of the company has just phone me up after hinting to him that I work in advertising.
And he is now telling me it my fault and I, yes that is me people. I managed to put in my wrong address.
This is just Bullshit.
All I can say is, Dont deal with these company.

How about a few of us doing you a new year's favour and writing them a wee mail something like this:
I understand you see fit to question the ability of a customer to fill in an order form and have the bare faced cheek to pass the blame onto them.
It is rather unfortunate for your company that you have chosen to be so uncooperative on this matter.
The bad press that your company has received due to this is no doubt worth a multiple of the amount that you have chosen not to honour.
I should think that any attempt to remedy the situation and make good the loss to your customer will now involve more effort than would have been necessary had you acted honourably in the first instance.
