Anyone have one they might be able to hook me up with? We can't get them in the states unless we pay for them on ebay...and since BBC is giving them away....I figure maybe someone might have a spare or may be able to hook me up????
PLEASE!!!! :)

unless you listen to radio 1 on the net or live in the UK, you've probably never heard of it.
radio one is giving away these blue wristbands (similar to the yellow one that lance armstrong is sporting) in an effort to fight bullying (I guess it's become a big enough issue in the public eye to create a wristband for it.
in any case, I had to deal with bullys when I was a kid too...I'm sure many of us had...so I'd like to get one of these. but the only way to get one is if you live in the UK. which I don't. otherwise, they're on ebay. now, there's really no way for me to know for sure if they're being sold legitimatly by an org and the $$ goes to the cause or by some some greedy bastard that hijacked a few and is selling them because he knows there's a guy like me out there that can't get one otherwise.

so are the like wonderwomans wristbands?
- xaoscontrol0
no.
bizzy posted the link (thx)
I guess they're the alternative to wearing those ribbons...like the yellow ones for soldiers abroad...pink ones for breast cancer, etc.

nice idea

yeah, it's great. my wife's sporting a pink wristband for breast cancer.
I want one of the bullying wristbands.....now I'm wondering about contacting who ever started that charity about importing the cause to the US. which would be funny because it would be like the 'feed the world' thing all over again...and yet, so many nations view the US a bullies anyway...that would be really humorous...

Good concept but I think those are for people who are old enough not to get bullied. You'd probably be the first in line to get a beatdown while wearing one of those things in a tough highschool.

but the US is so generous. why are you calling the US a bully? we just offered up a whopping $39 million for relief aid to the tsunami victims!
did i mention that $39 million dollars pays for a whole 4 hours on the 'war on terror'.
oh yeah, and it only took bush 3 days to come forward with this generous amount...'cause he was on fucking VACATION!
the US is not a bully. it's a loving sharing caring country.
okay i'll stop with the rant that everyone has probably already heard. I would also like to get my hands on one of those blue beauties.

oh I'm sure it's aimed at adults. now, I'm finding that they bullying goes beyond high school over there....college and work place.....I think we'd call it harrasment...of course, our answer to that is a quick lawsuit

I want one of those baby-shit-green wristbands. All procedes go towards finding a way to re-use human waste as fuel and food.

- JamesEngage0
it may sound retarded to you... but the reason for it is that kids are killing themselves because they can't stand the bullying.

Maybe find a kid who has one and bully him to give it to you.
