burnout 3 is ADDICTING. i think even more than metal gear solid 3. MGS3 you have to be in the mood for though.
burnout 3 is one of those games you can just pop in whenever and end up playing for hours on end...

I have owned a PS2 for a couple of years, but yesterday I went and bought myself an xbox :) I needed a change, I was getting bored. Not that its not a great system. Games for the PS2 that are "must haves" in their genres;
- GTA:SA
- MGS3
- FFX (I was nowhere near as hooked on X-2)
- Tony Hawk 4 (or maybe THUG 1) is the best in the series for pure skating. THUG2 mixed in alot of stuff it didn't need.
- Burnout 3 (or if your into sims rather than arcade, hold out for GT4)
- NFL Street, NBA Street & NBA Ballers and the soon to be FIFA Street (for the best in arcade sports)
- TimeSplitters 2 (Awesome FPS, and CHEAP... TS3 out 1st Qtr 2005)Anyway there are more, but thats a good start.

GTA : San Andreas
The most addictive game I have played, EVER. At one point I played it 18hrs a day 4 days in a row. Completed it very quickly. But still roam around finding new things, its full of so much.

i have have played GTA III and GTA Vice City to the end.. there is properly 500+ hours in both games ... but then i found GTA SA becomes very boring after 50+ hours of playtime ...
nothing new once you have driven the hotrods, monster trucks, pimped your rides, flying the planes etc..
sad when it's such a big game

I dunno designerror, there is still lots to discover but I have stopped playing it amuch as I did when I got it, but then I did play it a lil to much. It became a bit of an unhealthy addiction.

I traded in my old PS2 that was full of dog hair and a few old games and got a new slim PS2 and the Futurama Game.
Hilariously additive if you like Matt Groening stuff.
I found GTA SA rather boaring.
REZ is awsome!
Midway Classics.
Splinter Cell and/or any Tom Clancey game are a good bet.

FUCK!!!! my damn playstation doesn't WORK!! it just goes to the brower screen and then i load the disk...and it just gets stuck on, "READING DISK?"
