invoice design?

My new company has to design a simple invoice for our first job. Anyone know where we can find a good template site or a site with inspiring examples?

im finally getting regular freelance work.. i need some inspiration for an invoice.. anyone got any links or their own to share? not looking to rip, just no idea what needs to be done

the answer is no...I think there have been several threads about this and we've come to the conclusion that there are no good templates out there, because we are all control freaks who want our own templates.
It's too bad someone doesnt come up with an invoicing system for designers...with draggable UI's and vector imported graphics.

im just curious to see what other people have done.. i have a very simple one but its like 6 years old now and kinda useless

I did a google seearch when I was designing my invoice, just to see what exactly should be included on an invoice, then I tackled it just like any other project. Think about what you need. Your address, invoice number, tax ID number, date, etc. You need a place to put what the charges are. What you're billing them for. Keep in mind this is probably something that will get faxed and/or photocopied.
I set mine up as a PDF that has editable fields, so I can change what I need to, and print it right out.
Do a google search and you'll definately find something on it, then get creative. Designer are problem solvers! Treat it like any other project.
