Believe it or not, I couldn't find anything on blurry pixel fonts while searching.
I have snap to pixels on, the font is at the right size, I'm including the proper characters and putting the font at an integer x and y
What else can I do?
Export a gif version of the type? I'd rather not.

What pixel font are you using? Do you have the little cross hair in the upper left corner.
If it is in a MC make sure the MC is on whole numbers. Make sure your line heigt is on whole numbers. and kerning is at 0.

sometimes a textfield's scale gets stuckin values like 99% or 100.1%
if that's the case and you still can't modify those values, copy/paste the content to a new textfield.
also, pixel fonts have predefined size values to work properly. most of them work with 8px height.
remember: even if your pixel font displays ok, if the movie where it resides is loaded into another one, the child movie have also to position itself in absolute values.

Not all pixel fonts work in flash, make sure its flash specific. There are quite a few free out there that are not and will look like shite in flash.

The font is Standard07_55. It's set at 8 pt. I did Cmd-Shift-Z to remove any possible transforms. I have all my parent movie clips on whole numbers. I have snap to pixels on. No kerning, etc. I will try to copy into a new text field.
I have the same font in a scrolling field with the _y set to Math.round to an integer in another part of the same movie and that even works.

It's left aligned?
I found a bug when you embed an image or MC in a textbox using html IMG SRC= and have text next to it (it shifts pixel the text 0.1 pixels).
Your MCs registered to the top left?

I copied another text block that worked and reset the type in the same position. It works now. Why, I don't know.
My text is left aligned. I did not use any html in the flash file.
God, Flash has a ton of undocumented bugs. Why don't they just fix these things instead of overhauling action script every year and a half?

You mentioned you had your pixel font set to 8pt - Maybe in the future it should be 8px

if you're using it wthin an MC, things can get hairy, but if you're just setting it up plainly or behind a mask, you should be good, make sure your coordinates are at 0, 0. Like people said, otherwise, try and reinstall the font, it could be corrupt or something.
