Hello all... my company asked that I give a list of 2005 conferences I'd like to attend in the field of design (web/print). Can any of you think of any I can submit? They must be within the US, maybe Canada.
I've only got the HOW conference, Flash Forward, and Flash in Can.
p.s. - I am an AIGA member so I am also updated on AIGA events.
thanks

yarsrevenge, I went to Flash In The Can last year (Mar04) and had a blast but wonder if I should check Flash Forward this year. Those are the only two I've heard of. Anyone been to both and recommend one over the other?

although it doesn't entirely fall under the web/print rubric... and might seem self indulgent... a fluent argument might make all the difference...
GDC: San Francisco: Akira Yamaoka (designer of Silent Hill) and Keita Takahashi (Katamari!) will be speaking!
http://www.gdconf.com/More realistically, check Bruce Mao's (or your other respective design icon) speaking schedule... he might be at some interesting conferences -- which could then be added to your list...

Thnx emmaopeel, I do a lot of different stuff with Flash (no games -although this looks cool), so I might be better going to one of these other two where they cover a wide range of topics.
Anyone else?

I will be speaking at SXSW this March. What origianlly started as a music thing, has grown into film, and interactive subjects as well.

Semi-Permanent will be held in NYC, don't know what date though.

I contract for this large corporation now and they asked me about going to an 'Ethical Hackers' Conference, but I declined. I'd like to go to the next Flash Forward conference, not sure if they'd send me.

Holy cow! Jello Biafra keynote at a hacker convention!
Were they talking about?

http://www.h2k2.net/I just found out that Flash in the Can starts the same day as a benefit show we're doing for kids art on billboards. Flash Forward here I come!
