although it doesn't entirely fall under the web/print rubric... and might seem self indulgent... a fluent argument might make all the difference...
GDC: San Francisco: Akira Yamaoka (designer of Silent Hill) and Keita Takahashi (Katamari!) will be speaking!
http://www.gdconf.com/More realistically, check Bruce Mao's (or your other respective design icon) speaking schedule... he might be at some interesting conferences -- which could then be added to your list...
