Damn, I miss riding on real snow. I moved back to Pittsburgh from Denver, CO. I mean, we get snow out here in PA, but along wiith it comes the ice. yikes. Have fun with your new deck!

Nice. This was going to be another depressing winter for me here in Chicago, with daily dreams of a magic carpet to wisk me off to Breck, CO. I've not ridden in about 4 years, but during college while I lived in Texas, we went boarding a couple times each winter.
Snowboarding is the greatest thing I've ever gotten to do. I skateboarded for years so it was easy to pick up year to year.
My GF suggested we go to some places in southern Wisconsin this winter, she's never been riding before. There are a couple places that are pretty decent, and they have pretty good parks from what it looks like. She'll be learning and I'll be getting back into shape for riding.
Looking forward to it, it's not CO but it's something! :)

nice board, mate! i've just been up in italy...great snow!
a piece of advice: don't try to change the music from your ipod, take a glove off, look for your friends and ride with only one foot on your bindings. you may fall and break a rib in the most stupid and embarassing way.
not that it happened to me last week. no no no no.

I used to go snowboarding every year in switzerland from when I was about 15 (back when boards had one pointed end and one diagonal end!) and got pretty good. Haven't been for about 4 years but I may be goin gin Feb if I can get time off work, woohoo!

i'm looking forward for my non-broken-rib to heal, i can't wait to go back again.
i gotta buy a new board, though...any suggestions?

Ahh, i miss fun times at A-Basin, Vail Copper, and the one time i went- The almighty Steamboat springs. I have not had the chance to ride out side the U.S., but I am looking forward to it someday. I can't even imagine the snow in the Alps, Italy... Anyway, I wish everyone a safe riding season! have fun!
